Responsibilities
- Gather news information and prepare for presentation on air, on line and on mobile platforms.
- Perform on-air reporting responsibilities for designated newscast or program across multiple platforms.
- Gather, report, edit, write, prepare and/or assemble, and present story content in a fair, accurate and unbiased manner
- Identify and generate story ideas, research and set up the content and interviews
- News Reporting and analysis
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Journalism, Mass Communication or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a television reporter.
- Financial or business journalism experience is desirable
- Experience in a variety of on-air reporting functions including anchoring, investigations, franchises, etc.
- Ability to work in a real-time news environment
- Proven track record of strong writing, storytelling and live reporting skills
- Very strong speech skills with the ability to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situation.
- Strong understanding and demonstration of editorial judgment and journalistic ethics, including a current knowledge of the laws
