Responsibilities

• Gather news information and prepare for presentation on air, on line and on mobile platforms.
• Perform on-air reporting responsibilities for designated newscast or program across multiple platforms.
• Gather, report, edit, write, prepare and/or assemble, and present story content in a fair, accurate and unbiased manner
• Identify and generate story ideas, research and set up the content and interviews
• News Reporting and analysis

Requirements

• BSc/HND in Journalism, Mass Communication or related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years of experience as a television reporter.
• Financial or business journalism experience is desirable
• Experience in a variety of on-air reporting functions including anchoring, investigations, franchises, etc.
• Ability to work in a real-time news environment
• Proven track record of strong writing, storytelling and live reporting skills
• Very strong speech skills with the ability to ad-lib effortlessly in various types of situation.
• Strong understanding and demonstration of editorial judgment and journalistic ethics, including a current knowledge of the laws
