Introduction
- This role forms the integral link between OM, Brokers and Customers in the Region and manages the Branch Office and staff.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develops and implements a sales, marketing and support plan for Branch Office.
- Builds and maintains sustainable relationships with all contracted brokers/customers in region
- Analyses the sales product mix in order to react to trends, and ensure profitable growth of the Branch
- Manages the relationship between Old Mutual and brokers, and ensures maximum growth of the portfolio.
- Researches competitor offerings and makes recommendations.
- Reacts to market trends and competitor initiatives to ensure sustainable growth.
- Supports and advises on all product-related aspects of all Old Mutual products to Brokers.
- Ensures that Old Mutual and product providers understand Broker's product and marketing needs.
- Meets all new business targets as set out at the beginning of each year.

- Lead Branch Office to achieve set organizational objectives and KPIs
- share the vision and mission of the organization to ensure outputs are consistent with organizational strategy
- Provide Leadership and Mentorship for Branch.
Marketing:
- Assists the Broker consultants in ensuring that the broker market is serviced at all times
- Markets Old Mutual services and products to brokers and customers face to face
- Develops new business sources
Sales Support:
- Assists the Broker consultants in ensuring that the broker market is serviced at all times
- Receives requests for quotations from brokers and makes alterations to existing business
- Supports and advises on all product-related aspects of products to Brokers
- Ensures that Old Mutual and product providers understand Broker's product and marketing needs
Relationship Building:
- Builds and maintains sustainable relationships with all contracted brokers/customers in branch
- Convinces brokers to sell Old Mutual products and services
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications and Experience
- Completed tertiary education, Business or Sales Marketing Qualifications. Good Analytical skills, technical/insurance product knowledge and relevant sales experience would be an added advantage.
