We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Complaint and Feedback Mechanism Assistant

Locations:
Mobbar LGA, Magumeri LGA
Starting date 1st November 2019
Reporting to: Protection officer

General Purpose of the Position
  • Ensuring Protection Mainstreaming and Protect Monitoring in the Food Security project
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Ensure complaints are received and handled following organizational guidelines.
  • Assist in conducting of individual interviews and beneficiary’s assessment
  • Support the collection of information/data about all needs and concerns of the targeted population.
  • Support in ensuring all committee and messages related to project are gender / protection sensitive.
  • Support in ensuring complaints is properly managed (either individual or group); recorded, treated and appropriate feedback is accorded to the complainant maintaining strict protocols for confidentiality and consent.
  • Act as focal point for the identification and referral of Extremely Vulnerable Individuals and People with Specific protection Needs for adequate assistance according to INTERSOS pre-defined criteria.
  • Support in conducting follow-up monitoring visits to ensure that needs have been met in an appropriate manner and beneficiary have the opportunity to provide feedback on the assistance received.
  • Support in contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a referral pathway, respectful of the confidentiality principle and international SOPs.
  • Support in preparing and timely submitting activity plans and daily, weekly and monthly reports to supervisor.
  • Provide constant feedback to supervisor on progress, lesson learnt, achievements and gaps, issues and problems.
  • Other delegated responsibilities
Position Requirements
Education:
  • Tertiary level of Education in Social Science or related field “desirable”
Professional experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year in humanitarian work “desirable”
  • Documented result related to responsibilities
Professional requirements:
  • Good speaking, writing and reading skills
Languages:
  • English, Hausa, Kanuri
Personal requirements:
  • Hardworking, discipline and trustworthy “desirable”
