Job Title: IT Support Intern (NYSC)

Reporting to: IT Manager

Job Description

  • The IT Support Intern will be responsible for providing assistance with installation, monitoring and maintaining computer/web systems, tools and networks.
  • S/he would be responsible for connecting, running, configuring and maintaining computer and online systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical, internet and application problems.
  • The intern must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve simple problems and escalate complex cases to the IT Manager.
  • The intern will also perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention.
  • This position will support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and videoconferencing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to technical support requests/queries.
  • Identifying the nature of and resolving the hardware, software, or networking issue.
  • Installing new hardware systems, software upgrades, or networking cables.
  • Providing minor technical or operational training.
  • Completing IT support logs.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any closely related field.
  • Deep interest in IT applications, support and networking
  • Good knowledge of technical requirements of various software applications.

Key Skills:

  • Windows server administration and active directory management.
  • Hardware troubleshooting (printers, laptops etc.).
  • Software troubleshooting and support.
  • Network administration.
  • Office365 administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Superb analytical skills.
