Job Description
- The IT Support Intern will be responsible for providing assistance with installation, monitoring and maintaining computer/web systems, tools and networks.
- S/he would be responsible for connecting, running, configuring and maintaining computer and online systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical, internet and application problems.
- The intern must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve simple problems and escalate complex cases to the IT Manager.
- The intern will also perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention.
- This position will support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and videoconferencing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responding to technical support requests/queries.
- Identifying the nature of and resolving the hardware, software, or networking issue.
- Installing new hardware systems, software upgrades, or networking cables.
- Providing minor technical or operational training.
- Completing IT support logs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any closely related field.
- Deep interest in IT applications, support and networking
- Good knowledge of technical requirements of various software applications.
Key Skills:
- Windows server administration and active directory management.
- Hardware troubleshooting (printers, laptops etc.).
- Software troubleshooting and support.
- Network administration.
- Office365 administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Superb analytical skills.
