Overview

  • The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for overseeing strategies, programs and projects to achieve the organization goals and objectives.
  • He/ She will provide exemplary leadership, oversee and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate the organization vision.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Oversee and execute the organization’s business strategies in order to attain the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Provide strategic advice to the board while overseeing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company.
  • Communicate and maintain healthy relationships with key shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Oversee the organization’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
  • Provide inspired leadership company-wide
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
  • Report to the board of directors and keep them informed
  • Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
  • Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision
  • Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary
  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
  • Work with senior stakeholders, chief financial officer, chief information officer, and other executives
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
  • Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Over see day-to-day operation of the company
  • Work closely with the human resource department to ensure great hiring.

Qualifications

  • First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution in Engineering, Architecture, Land Economics, Building Economics, Urban Planning, Business Management or other related disciplines
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant work experience with 5 years in a senior management position
  • MSc or MBA is and added advantage.
  • Professional certification is a plus
  • Proven experience in business transformation, process improvement and business development
  • Proven experience in the real estate and property development industry
  • Proven experience in establishing a strong performance management culture
  • Good organizational and leadership skills and a strategic thinker
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience leading and managing a sizeable team.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
