Overview
- The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for overseeing strategies, programs and projects to achieve the organization goals and objectives.
- He/ She will provide exemplary leadership, oversee and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate the organization vision.
Skills and Capabilities
- Oversee and execute the organization’s business strategies in order to attain the goals and objectives of the organization
- Provide strategic advice to the board while overseeing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company.
- Communicate and maintain healthy relationships with key shareholders, business partners and authorities
- Oversee the organization’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
- Provide inspired leadership company-wide
- Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
- Report to the board of directors and keep them informed
- Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
- Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision
- Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary
- Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
- Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
- Work with senior stakeholders, chief financial officer, chief information officer, and other executives
- Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
- Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
- Over see day-to-day operation of the company
- Work closely with the human resource department to ensure great hiring.
Qualifications
- First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution in Engineering, Architecture, Land Economics, Building Economics, Urban Planning, Business Management or other related disciplines
- Minimum of 15 years relevant work experience with 5 years in a senior management position
- MSc or MBA is and added advantage.
- Professional certification is a plus
- Proven experience in business transformation, process improvement and business development
- Proven experience in the real estate and property development industry
- Proven experience in establishing a strong performance management culture
- Good organizational and leadership skills and a strategic thinker
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience leading and managing a sizeable team.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
