Overview
The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for overseeing strategies, programs and projects to achieve the organization goals and objectives.
He/ She will provide exemplary leadership, oversee and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate the organization vision.
Skills and Capabilities
Oversee and execute the organization’s business strategies in order to attain the goals and objectives of the organization
Provide strategic advice to the board while overseeing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company.
Communicate and maintain healthy relationships with key shareholders, business partners and authorities
Oversee the organization’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
Provide inspired leadership company-wide
Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
Report to the board of directors and keep them informed
Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan
Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision
Help with recruiting new staff members when necessary
Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing
Work with senior stakeholders, chief financial officer, chief information officer, and other executives
Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
Over see day-to-day operation of the company
Work closely with the human resource department to ensure great hiring.
Qualifications
First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution in Engineering, Architecture, Land Economics, Building Economics, Urban Planning, Business Management or other related disciplines
Minimum of 15 years relevant work experience with 5 years in a senior management position
MSc or MBA is and added advantage.
Professional certification is a plus
Proven experience in business transformation, process improvement and business development
Proven experience in the real estate and property development industry
Proven experience in establishing a strong performance management culture
Good organizational and leadership skills and a strategic thinker
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience leading and managing a sizeable team.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
