Job Title: Production Manager
Locations: Asese, Ogun and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- To coordinate production in their factory at Asese, Ogun state
- Plan and draw up production schedules for the existing production lines
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Decide on and order the resources and raw materials that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate
- Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Set the quality standards and manage operations
- Set production budgets and ensure that the product will be cost-effective by estimating costs and the projected revenue based on the budget
- Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes
- Organise the repair of any damaged equipment
- Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
- Work with supervisors and head of the department to implement the company's policies and goals
- Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports
- Supervise, manage and motivate the production team
- Review worker performance and identify training needs.
- Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff
Requirements
- BSc in Food Science and Technology, Engineering or related disciplines
- 5+ years in production management
- Relevant experience in food processing, factory environment, manufacturing processes and techniques
- Strong working knowledge of health and food safety regulations and policies
- Ability to uphold Good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
- Highly organised and efficient
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and numerical skills
- Proximity to Asese and environs is preferred.
