We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior - Business Development / Software Product Strategy

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for driving software revenue - both for enterprise software (with electric utilities) and for consumer as well as data monetization related software products.
  • Provide critical input to drive product development based on market needs
  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities within the enterprise and consumer product space.
  • Analyze clients’ behavior through data from targeted interviews and feedback to assist the product development team in setting new product priorities and reshape the product growth roadmap.
  • Identify creative strategies to engage customers and be able to align clients ambiguous business challenges with the features of the product
  • Utilize initiative to further develop their knowledge of the product and be comfortable with product demonstration.
  • Understand clients/customer needs and create need for BPS solutions
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Maintain a solid opportunity pipeline.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong background developing and marketing software products.
  • Experience in Africa - understand context and needs within an African context 
  • Driven, self-starter motivated by the opportunity to build a business
  • Excellent technical IT aptitude and a fast learner.
  • Consultative, friendly yet focused "Solution Selling" approach.
  • Ability to talk confidently to clients about high level IT solution and technical concepts.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation experience.
  • Highly motivated with proven enterprise solution selling experience.
  • Familiarity with power/engineering/utility sector a bonus4.
