Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre - Featuring a restaurant and a fitness centre, Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre is located in Ibadan, Oyo State. Among the various facilities of this property are a bar, a garden and a terrace. IITA Forest Reserve is 8 miles from the hotel. All guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Rooms contain an electric teapot, while some have a balcony. At Kakanfo Inn And Conference Centre, every room has a private bathroom with a bath.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Manager (F&B)

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Operations Manager (F&B) is responsible to plan, manage, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the restaurants, bar, cafeterias and other businesses of the hotel.
  • This position calls for someone who is experienced in Operations with the ability to work well with both internal and external personnel.
  • The Operations Manager (F&B) will be the liaison between the hotels internal & external F&B teams.
  • Maintain standards for Health Board and other applicable agencies.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Must be creative in merchandising.
  • Pay attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must.
  • Oversees all purchases for the Department.
  • Must oversee Banquet Sales to obtain budgeted revenue goals.
  • Menu selections and development.
  • Oversight and leadership of multiple hotel departments and direct reports.
  • Annual budget development with frequent monitoring and management
  • Monitor and ensure guest satisfaction thresholds are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Partnership, implement, and support Quality Assurance Initiatives and Guest Service Standards.
  • Partnership and support of Human Resources function to include recruitment, retention, development and training.
  • Training and development of others to achieve the goals and achievements of the company.
  • Developing, forecasting and maintaining budgets. Monitoring of budgets & labour controls for each property.
  • Oversee the selling and management of event space and Food & Beverage product and services.
  • Ensures that all Food & Beverage equipment including; cleanliness and annual maintenance are maintained.
  • Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Business Management / Tourism
  • 3-5 years experience in Food & Beverage Sales, Operations, Maintenance, Housekeeping or related fields.
  • Strong Managerial experience with prove.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent follow up on tactical and strategic tasks
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Experience with budget management required.
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to meet required budgetary goals.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong Financial Accountability.
  • Must be eligible for and maintain all government required licenses and certificates.
  • Candidate is required to be able to obtain/maintain any license that the company deems necessary.
