Job Title: Group Head, Human Resources

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Heading and coordinating the Department of HR & Administration with overall responsibility of developing and managing the human resources of the organization including project staff;
  • Translating the organization strategy and goals into an HR strategy and providing leadership for HR management related learning and development;
  • Developing and implementing Organizational Development strategies in alignment with organizational goals
  • Coordinating general HR practices such as recruitment, staffing, performance management system, staff orientation, and compensation and benefits administration;
  • Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, employee welfare services and counseling;
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within approved budgetary framework.
  • Ensure effective maintenance of all personnel and HR related documents.
  • Manage labour law and other regulatory policy compliances;
  • Manage and coordinate organizational grievance system and disciplinary proceedings;
  • Liaise with other functional/departmental heads so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirement for quality management, health and safety, legal requirement, environmental policies and general duty of care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of a good First Degree.
  • Human Resources professional with 10+ years of progressive human resources/organization development experience;
  • A Master's Degree and or professional certification CIPM, SHRM, HRCI.
  • Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
