Role Overview
- This role requires an experienced Chef who will be responsible for the preparation of delicious meals for clients. The applicant must be familiar with sanitation regulation and appealing plate presentation.
- Preparation of food in a timely manner is the foremost requirement.
In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Have proven experience as a Chef
- Cook food in a timely manner
- Preparation of well-cooked and delicious meals
- Slightly modify recipes to meet client needs and requests
- Monitor food stock and food orders
- Check freshness of food items
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Be Honest, respectful and of good character
Requirements
Successful applicants in this role will typically have:
- A certified Culinary School Diploma / Certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to remain calm while undertaking tasks
- Hands on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- An excellent eye for detail and discrepancies
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong record keeping skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong flexibility and adaptability skills
- Ability to be proactive and take the initiative
- Up to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
