Job Title: Technical Proposal Writer

Location: Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Director of Business Development

Job Summary

  • Candidate is expected to lead the development and preparation of a variety of proposals and submissions (Prequalification, Custom Proposals and Presentations, Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI).

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compelling, compliant, and well-written proposals.
  • Review Technology RFP, RFQ, RFI and other invitation for proposal packages and create detailed tables of requirements to ensure that submissions are complete and fully compliant.
  • Prepare submission timelines and outlines, and clearly define and communicate information requirements to Technology, Operations, Finance, and other departments as appropriate.
  • Research and identify previously completed projects that meet the requested specifications and demonstrate our ability to complete the proposed work for inclusion in the submission.
  • Coordinate the production and integration of required data and information from Estimating,
  • Operations, and other departments, following up as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Write, edit, organize and format clear, concise, and compliant submission packages.
  • Prepare final submission packages, ensuring all required content is included, and necessary signatures and stamps are affixed.
  • Coordinate delivery of the submission – in-person, electronic submission, etc.
  • Develop and maintain current a library of project summaries and specification details to be used in various submission documents.
  • Develop and maintain current descriptions of company experience and capabilities to be used as required.
  • Assist Senior Management, Estimating and Operations teams as requested with the provision of information in support of business development activities

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science (Business Administration or Information Technology degree), technical writing or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology project experience, preferably in a software and application development projects.
  • 3 - 5 years of proposal writing or technical writing experience.
  • Ability to review, understand and create action plans from bid and tender documents of a moderate to highly complex and technical nature.
  • Advanced written communication skills in English - grammar, spelling, vocabulary, structure, etc.
  • Proofreading skills.
  • Time management and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadline simultaneously.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships, even under the stress of multiple deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and an ability to learn new software.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team structure.

Working hours:

  • 5 hours per day.

Salary
N250,000 Monthly.
