We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Human Resources Executive

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate would be responsible for the execution of key human resource administrative and strategic functions such as Compensation and Benefits Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:

  • Coordinate the posting of job ads on recruitment portals, shortlisting, conducting assessment tests and interviews for candidates.
  • Prepare and communicate offer letters to successful candidates.
  • Ensure email creation and procurement of work tools/Identity cards for new hires.
  • Conduct staff onboarding.
  • Contact applicants’ references and conduct background checks on new staff.
  • Process the confirmation of new hires upon successful completion of probation
  • Manage employee information on the database.

HR Administration and Employee Relations:

  • Ensure all correspondence with employees is placed in their respective personnel files.
  • Update all HR information with regards to Employee lists, loans, salary advance and leave requests etc. on the database
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Submit periodic reports.
  • Administer and manage employee benefits packages (HMO, Pension, etc).
  • Prepare, manage and execute approved HR policies, procedures, strategies and processes
  • Administer employee engagement activities.
  • Assist in managing employee welfare.
  • Organizing official office events including; logistics and hosting sites
  • Assist in carrying out general administrative functions in support of the team including filing, record keeping, data management and surveys.

Performance Management:

  • Conduct periodic performance evaluations/appraisals.
  • Identify training needs of staff as indicated in the performance evaluation forms.
  • Prepare and communicate performance improvement plans.
  • Prepare performance evaluation reports

Compensation & Benefit Management:

  • Administration of payroll - Compute staff salaries, overtime, loans, salary advance, arrears/bonus, penalties and other deductions.
  • Follow up on all employee benefits, i.e. pension contribution, group life insurance, health, etc.
  • Processing all staff allowances promptly upon approval by Head HR

Disciplinary & Consequence Management:

  • Conduct necessary investigations where disciplinary issues have been flagged against an erring staff.
  • Attend disciplinary panels and take reports/minutes of such meetings.
  • Draft and issue queries, warning letters, suspension letters and termination letters, in applicable cases
  • Conduct exit interviews for exiting staff

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
  • 3 - 5 years experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
  • Excellent oral, written and listening communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, proactivity, creativity and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Excellent Google suit & Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • HR Certification (SHRM, HRCI, CIPM, etc.).
