Job Title: Datacenter Management - Subject Matter Expert
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Data Center facilities to ensure the availability and performance.
- Supervise facility vendors and managed services partners in all support and maintenance activities.
- Daily checklist to ensure working of all Data centers parameters including Temperature, Power, and Telecom
- Ensure the Data Center is maintained at optimum temperature and humidity levels
- Schedule preventive maintenance on time with all vendors and ensure its effectiveness (UPS, Generator, Electrical Monitoring System, Fire alarm Etc.)
- Conduct assessment of operations risk and highlight them to the management and take risk- mitigation activities wherever possible.
- Ensure Cable Management of all Racks is proper and tidy
- Identify risks proactively and alerts management with possible rectification steps
- Ensure that proper housekeeping is done within the Data Canters
- Good understanding of Data center Tier level classification
- Recommendation of new and emerging cabling and other infrastructure components, adding value to the overall infrastructure solutions
- Recommend adoption of various solutions related to infrastructure facilities and data center like, CCTV, Access Control, AC, UPS and Generator etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT relater field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an enterprise datacenter environment
- Advanced understanding of network and datacenter facilities, design and layout
- Knowledge of database technology
- Solid leadership skills
