Job Title: Datacenter Management - Subject Matter Expert

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage Data Center facilities to ensure the availability and performance.
• Supervise facility vendors and managed services partners in all support and maintenance activities.
• Daily checklist to ensure working of all Data centers parameters including Temperature, Power, and Telecom
• Ensure the Data Center is maintained at optimum temperature and humidity levels
• Schedule preventive maintenance on time with all vendors and ensure its effectiveness (UPS, Generator, Electrical Monitoring System, Fire alarm Etc.)
• Conduct assessment of operations risk and highlight them to the management and take risk- mitigation activities wherever possible.
• Ensure Cable Management of all Racks is proper and tidy
• Identify risks proactively and alerts management with possible rectification steps
• Ensure that proper housekeeping is done within the Data Canters
• Good understanding of Data center Tier level classification
• Recommendation of new and emerging cabling and other infrastructure components, adding value to the overall infrastructure solutions
• Recommend adoption of various solutions related to infrastructure facilities and data center like, CCTV, Access Control, AC, UPS and Generator etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an IT relater field
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in an enterprise datacenter environment
• Advanced understanding of network and datacenter facilities, design and layout
• Knowledge of database technology
• Solid leadership skills
