Job Title: Group Head - Business Development
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Provides high-quality sales by responding to clients enquires and acts as a liaison between clients and the company.
- Acts as a consultant by offering sales advisory while meeting customers need and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of possible business models and ideas.
- Analysis of the potential of business ideas.
- Monitoring of the market situation.
- Competition monitoring.
- Identifying, qualifying, and seeking out new opportunities on the market.
- Identification of strategic targets and market niches.
- Market research and identifying potential clients.
- Development of new business fields.
- Creating and developing sales and marketing strategies.
- Building relationships with new clients and maintaining relationships with current clients.
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and current business partners.
- Working closely with other managers and departments.
- Monitoring of long-term projects.
- Contract negotiations and concluding contracts.
- Strategic advice and support of partners proactive development of appropriate solutions.
- Strategic and operational development of existing activities.
- Manages P&L, Revenue, and Income target of the Business Development department.
Education and Experience
- First Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business or Finance
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of work experience
- Strong work ethics
- Excellent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Social media platforms
- Professional membership in notable associations
- An MBA from a reputable institution would be desirable and an added advantage
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, data analysis and proven leadership skills.

- Arrange a meeting for prospective clients with the top management of your company
- Continuous follow-ups with multiple collaborators
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms
- Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations for clients’ engagements
- Ability to use MS Excel for contact generation and deal cycle tracking
- Purchase contacts from aggregators or search individually via job networking platforms
- Knowledge of research and strategy
- Working knowledge of CRM.
- Knowledge of sales management, marketing, strategic management, and business planning.
Salary
- N120,000 - N170,000 Monthly.
