Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance
  • Direct the HR organization through the Human Capital Strategy and all related HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure the availability and effective management of relevant skills and capabilities to achieve the organization’s growth strategy.
  • Facilitate the change management
  • Ensure that the Business’ HR Strategy is cascaded down to the HR team
  • Promote the deployment, usage and adoption of the HR cloud-based software for human capital management and specifically the performance management , career development, Learning Management System etc…
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development
  • Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talents
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Designing and directing training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or any relevant field of study
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources is a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in a similar senior position within an international organisation operating factories in Africa
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in an industrial environment: FMCG / Consumer Goods / Manufacturing / Chemicals / Oil & Gas 
  • Experience in managing a large HR department
  • Knowledge of all relevant HR legislation and policies
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors or any HR cloud-based software
  • Strong understanding of leading HR practices and industry trends
  • Track record in influencing positive organizational change
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • High level of personal ethics.
