Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing operational activities across functions in the Church which includes creating efficient systems and processes as well as managing & improving already established procedures.

Key Result / Responsibility Areas
Effective Systematic implementation and alignment to all processes:

  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the organizational efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated as well as identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
  • Leads coordination and integration of efforts among Human Resources, Communication, IT, Facility and Finance to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

Strategic Planning and Achievement of Goals:

  • Formulate business strategy and design policies that align with overall organisational goal
  • Oversee the implementation of all policies designed throughout the organization
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulation
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Effectiveness and Efficiency of Organizational Operations
  • Manage the personnel and ensure that the human resource programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall Church objectives
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with the Church objectives
  • Developing strategy for the Church’s IT infrastructure and ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Provide consistent, visible, persuasive leadership to ensure strong individual and team motivation and productivity.
  • Foster an environment where resources needed to meet business objectives are recruited, developed and retained.
  • Performance Development Reviews are completed annually with at least one follow-up review during the year.
  • Establish policies and procedures to guide day to day administrative routines
  • Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers.

Finance and Compliance:

  • Ensure financial controls are in place to enable effective and accurate reporting and forecasting for projects
  • Oversee and manage Operational Budget
  • Oversee the financial strategic planning of the church by evaluating its security and potential risks
  • Supervise all audit and internal control processes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • A Post-Graduate Degree or Professional Certification is an added advantage
  • Extensive and diversified background with a minimum of 10 years’ work experience of which at least three (3) must have been at a managerial/supervisory level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.
  • A committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be tenacious, loyal and trustworthy.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative.

Salary Range
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly.
