Job Title: Branch Marketing Manager

Job Summary

  • Supervise and monitor the development and management of potential and existing business relationships with brokers and/or direct clients and ensure quality underwriting and survey/inspection of risks, prompt and error-free documentation of policies to achieve superior customer service delivery.

Job Description

  • Oversees the implementation of the Branch’s strategy
  • Drives marketing and underwriting activities in assigned geography to ensure achievement of production and profitability targets
  • Reviews, agrees and co-ordinates short to medium-term plans for market penetration by the branch
  • Maintains good public relations with current and prospective customers
  • Analyses the industry/geographical segments to identify potential business opportunitie
  • Prepares reinsurance advice on all new and renewed businesses as well as alteration of policies for Reinsurance unit to enable them make apportionment and placement
  • Prepares renewal notices to clients and receive renewal instructions and advice on existing policies from clients/brokers to effect renewal of policies
  • Computes additional/return premiums due as a result of alterations
  • Draws up business plans and performance review reports for the branch on quarterly basis and ensure full implementation of plans
  • Prepares the Branch budget
  • Convenes and directs meetings with staff to review activities of the branch. 

Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (minimum of 2nd Class Lower)
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant Insurance experience
  • Insurance sales experience will be an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of the marketing techniques and regulations guiding financial institutions especially Insurance Industry.
  • Experience dealing with brokers and corporate clients
  • Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong at executing business plans and innovation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proactive, Resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
