Job Title: Head, Mobile Wallet

Job Objective(s)
The role will be responsible for:
- Conceptualize the value proposition and strategic initiatives for the adoption of Mobile and e-Wallets.
- Manage Wallet product initiatives throughout their lifecycles from planning to implementation, sales, monitoring, and product support in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.
- Build and manage payment ecosystems built around Wallets within Mass Markets and Corporate organizations e.g. Manufacturing, Transport Services, Public sectors, Private Organizations, Financial Institutions etc.
- Build strong relationships with Industry Leaders, Regulators, Payment Aggregators and Switches to gain insight into new regulations, and technology trends and have first-hand information for better business decisions, directions, and policy implementation.
- Develop Management briefs, and perform periodic reviews and evaluations of performance, while proposing process improvements and corrective actions so as to remain competitive in the target markets.
- Build and sustain a robust financial model to manage the cost profile of the business, while meeting the projected profitability of the business in line with pre-agreed KPIs.
- Supervise, coordinate and manage the activities of the Mobile Wallet Team members.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage compelling initiatives and solutions that will aid targeted customer acquisition and activation activities.
- Identify and obtain new payment mandates (around wallets) from corporate bodies, as well as Government and Non-Government Organizations leveraging on existing relationships within the Bank.
- Develop and utilize specific marketing programs to drive results in the identified Retail, Commercial and Public Sector markets.
- Study and analyze market conditions in order to Identify key industry peers/ competitors and consumer trends.
- Articulate market requirements and opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.
- Plan and determine product specifications, create product road maps and define the long-term product strategy.
- Develop pricing strategies and product policies and manage interactions and communicate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop product marketing plans and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.
- Conduct product knowledge and awareness presentations; develop sales tools and training materials to equip relationship managers on product sales.
- Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability.
- Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.
- Coordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback.
Requirements
- First Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant 8 years experience in FCMG, Telecoms, Banking, Microfinance, Mobile Money, Payments, and other relevant sectors.
- MBA is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in cognate knowledge areas.
- Relevant knowledge of regulatory policies/guidelines.
- Industry knowledge ofglobal trends inmobile payments andfinancial inclusion.
