Job Title: Head, Mobile Wallet

Job Objective(s)
The role will be responsible for:
Conceptualize the value proposition and strategic initiatives for the adoption of Mobile and e-Wallets.
Manage Wallet product initiatives throughout their lifecycles from planning to implementation, sales, monitoring, and product support in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Build and manage payment ecosystems built around Wallets within Mass Markets and Corporate organizations e.g. Manufacturing, Transport Services, Public sectors, Private Organizations, Financial Institutions etc.
Build strong relationships with Industry Leaders, Regulators, Payment Aggregators and Switches to gain insight into new regulations, and technology trends and have first-hand information for better business decisions, directions, and policy implementation.
Develop Management briefs, and perform periodic reviews and evaluations of performance, while proposing process improvements and corrective actions so as to remain competitive in the target markets.
Build and sustain a robust financial model to manage the cost profile of the business, while meeting the projected profitability of the business in line with pre-agreed KPIs.
Supervise, coordinate and manage the activities of the Mobile Wallet Team members.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and manage compelling initiatives and solutions that will aid targeted customer acquisition and activation activities.
Identify and obtain new payment mandates (around wallets) from corporate bodies, as well as Government and Non-Government Organizations leveraging on existing relationships within the Bank.
Develop and utilize specific marketing programs to drive results in the identified Retail, Commercial and Public Sector markets.
Study and analyze market conditions in order to Identify key industry peers/ competitors and consumer trends.
Articulate market requirements and opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.
Plan and determine product specifications, create product road maps and define the long-term product strategy.
Develop pricing strategies and product policies and manage interactions and communicate with cross-functional teams.
Develop product marketing plans and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.
Conduct product knowledge and awareness presentations; develop sales tools and training materials to equip relationship managers on product sales.
Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability.
Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.
Coordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback.
Requirements
First Degree in a relevant discipline.
Relevant 8 years experience in FCMG, Telecoms, Banking, Microfinance, Mobile Money, Payments, and other relevant sectors.
MBA is an added advantage.
Professional certifications in cognate knowledge areas.
Relevant knowledge of regulatory policies/guidelines.
Industry knowledge ofglobal trends inmobile payments andfinancial inclusion.
