A key distributor to an International Telephone Company with a track record with its Head Office in Lagos and branches all over Nigeria, due to expansion, is recruiting an experienced professional to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR / Operations Manager

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Effectively communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Establishing policies, procedures, and work schedules. Providing communication systems by identifying needs; evaluating options; maintaining equipment; approving invoices.
  • Successfully completing special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements; planning, arranging, and meeting schedules; monitoring results. Providing historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Improving program and service quality by devising new applications; updating procedures; evaluating system results with users.
  • Achieving financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances. Maintaining continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, iregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; bench marking professional standards; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Sociology or related discipline.
  • Not less than 5 years in similar position.

Competencies:

  • Must have good reporting skills
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Good manager of human resources.
  • Must be an effective communicator.
  • Knowledge of the concept of social responsibility Knowledge of project management.
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing competing work priorities.
