We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager - Chief Executive Office (GM / CEO)

Location: Sapele, Delta

Job Purpose

  • The GM / CEO shall report directly to the Board of Directors and shall manage and improve the business landscape of the organization.
  • He/she shall be responsible for driving the development of the organization as well as enhancing the business portfolio into a higher viable revenue-earning unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide business leadership and promote good team spirit within the organization.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plan for the organization.
  • Execute the organization's development plan in alignment with core business objectives.
  • Oversee business operations and ensure prudent management of financial and material resources.
  • Periodically submit the business financial performance report to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for identifying viable investment options and managing investment assets on behalf of the organization.
  • Work with existing and new business policies, processes and legal guidelines that govern the organization.
  • Sustain existing business and regulatory relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and grow new ventures of the organization.
  • Build, enhance, and sustain the organization's business brand, culture, and standards for operational excellence.
  • Represent the organization in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement career development plan for growth of direct reports and other staff.
  • Demonstrate influential leadership capabilities by working collaboratively and building consensus with stakeholders to proactively resolve issues and drive
  • business improvement plans.
  • Communicate in clear, concise and understandable manner, both orally and in writing, to remove barriers and enhance teamwork across units.
  • Maintain cordial working relationships with external stakeholders and advocate the society's position on existing and emerging financial regulatory matters.

Qualifications / Experience

  • A University Degree in Social Sciences such as Business Administration, Accounting, Law, or any relevant field but not lower than Second Class upper division.
  • A Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) would be advantageous.
  • A professional qualification in Accountancy (ICAN, ACCA), Stock Exchange or Finance.
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 8 years of verifiable managerial role in business and financial management.Hands-on experience in developing and implementing strategic business models.
  • Understand best practices and relevant financial regulations.
  • Possess strong human and interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess excellent cost management and negotiation skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of best practices and relevant financial regulations.
  • Possession of strong human and interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, interpret, design, and execute complex ideas.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet business targets.
  • Possession of excellent cost management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze feedback and proffer timely recommendations for business improvement.
  • Capacity to lead in a dynamic, social, and multicultural business environment.

Language:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
