Position Overview

  • We are seeking a reliable and motivated Food Delivery Dispatch Rider to join our team. As a Dispatch Rider, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of food orders to our customers.
  • You will be responsible for dispatching orders to delivery riders, coordinating their routes, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Your ability to navigate city streets, communicate effectively, and manage time efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our food delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Dispatch: Receive food orders from customers and dispatch them to delivery riders promptly and accurately using our designated dispatch software or communication channels.
  • Route Coordination: Plan and assign delivery routes to riders based on factors such as order location, traffic conditions, and time constraints, optimizing for efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Rider Management: Monitor the progress and status of each delivery rider, ensuring they adhere to assigned routes and delivery schedules. Provide guidance and support as needed, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication channels with both delivery riders and customers. Relay important information, such as order updates or changes, to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Time Management: Prioritize and manage delivery schedules effectively, ensuring all orders are dispatched promptly and delivered within designated timeframes. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints regarding their food orders. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote adherence to safety guidelines and traffic regulations by all delivery riders. Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders, delivery statuses, and customer interactions. Generate reports or documentation as required by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification
  • Valid Motorcycle License: Possess a valid motorcycle license and demonstrate excellent riding skills.
  • Familiarity with Local Area: Have a good understanding of the local area, including streets, landmarks, and traffic patterns, to navigate efficiently.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Display excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with delivery riders, customers, and team members.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Display a high level of attention to detail in dispatching orders accurately and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations or address customer concerns effectively.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Possess a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to provide exceptional service and handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Show resilience in handling challenging situations or demanding workloads.
  • Physical Stamina: Have the physical stamina and fitness required to operate a motorcycle for extended periods, including the ability to lift and carry food orders when necessary.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, or dispatch software to coordinate deliveries and track order statuses.
