A key player in the Engineering, Construction and Procurement industry located in Warri - Delta State & Lekki - Lagos State, with a focus on being the leading provider of sourcing, contracting, procurement and supply services, is recruiting seasoned professionals to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development / Tender Executive

Locations: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating, developing, and maintaining a professional and strong business relationship with key decision-makers among potential clients in the oil & gas industry, governmental departments, marine companies, contractors, and consultants.
  • Identifying and researching opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems via customized proposal presentations.
  • Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service through regular client follow up, NIPEX tender follow up.
  • Managing of the NIPEX, ARIBA, SAP, and other client’s vendor portals.
  • Establishing strategic relations with other player in the industry both foreign and local for strategic business growth and innovation.
  • Assist in the “Project life cycle” of the organization such as planning, organizing/executing, monitoring/controlling, and directing as well as the completion of specific projects while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Participate in technical/commercial tender submissions, pre-bid stage activities, pre-bid qualification, and responding to all relevant bids and tenders and budget offers where required.
  • Ensuring that the most appropriate and relevant solutions for each bid are effectively pulled together from all parts of the business.
  • Developing computer-based document store and reference materials.
  • Reviewing and improving other customer materials and developing a consistent set of standards for other commercial functions to follow.
  • Managing the customer feedback processes and ensuring all complains are properly resolved.
  • Translating proposals into ready-to-sign contracts
  • Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.

Qualifications / Competencies

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
  • 2 -5 years of cognate experience.
  • Extensive sales experience.
  • Intuitive and insightful, particularly regarding human behaviour.
  • Ability to generate revenue by identifying pain points and suggesting suitable products or services.
  • Professional yet affable disposition.
  • Neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Willing to travel to other States and countries as the job may require.
  • Great networking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Resourceful, with outstanding research skills.
  • Able to navigate the NIPEX portal, Ariba, SAP etc.
  • Excellent in bid/tender documentation and preparations.
  • Emboldened by challenges.
