We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the corporate travel sector, including but not limited to, corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions.
  • Achieve or exceed the sales volume/revenue goals targets as defined in the business plan
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through proactive outreach, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning to tailor compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized travel management solutions that align with client objectives and budgetary considerations.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business partnerships.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive long-term business growth and retention.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, report on progress against targets, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and thought leadership content to support business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in travel industry management or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales and marketing roles within the travel industry, with a focus on corporate travel management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development initiatives.
