Description
- We are seeking a dedicated Storekeeper to join our team and ensure efficient management of inventory and supplies at our quarry site.
Position Overview
- As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the storage, organization, and distribution of materials and supplies at our quarry site.
- The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
- With a focus on efficiency and safety, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring that our teams have the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, including shelving, bins, and warehouses, to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
- Issue materials and supplies to quarry operations teams according to established procedures and inventory control standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support ongoing operations and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
- Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Adhere tosafety protocols and regulatory requirements related to the handling and storage of materials, including hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, such as purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory reports, using computerized inventory management systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and tracking inventory transactions.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to company policies and procedures.
