We are seeking a dedicated Storekeeper to join our team and ensure efficient management of inventory and supplies at our quarry site.
Position Overview
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the storage, organization, and distribution of materials and supplies at our quarry site.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
With a focus on efficiency and safety, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring that our teams have the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, including shelving, bins, and warehouses, to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
Issue materials and supplies to quarry operations teams according to established procedures and inventory control standards.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support ongoing operations and minimize downtime.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Adhere tosafety protocols and regulatory requirements related to the handling and storage of materials, including hazardous materials and chemicals.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Prepare and maintain documentation, such as purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory reports, using computerized inventory management systems.
Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and tracking inventory transactions.
Knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in basic computer skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
