We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)
Responsibilities
- Monitoring financial transactions.
- Payroll duties
- Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
- Watching the cash flow, chasing and collecting late payments and reporting bad debts
- Handling wage and salary calculations, as well as employee payouts and payments.
- Ensure proper stock taking of food and drinks.
- Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods.
- Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet for senior management
- Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning.
- Reconciling bank statements
- Ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT and PAYE
- Preparation of daily sales analysis
- Collation and filing of monthly tax returns
- Report directly to the Head of Accounts and Finance
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 2-3 years experience.
