We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Waiter / Waitress / Receptionist

Location: Lekki Phase I, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • As a hotel waitress/waiter, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience during their stay. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and attend to guest needs in a courteous and efficient manner.

Job Descriptions

  • Greeting guests upon arrival and leading them to their tables.
  • Presenting menus to guests and explaining menu items, specials, and Drinks.
  • Taking food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
  • Entering orders into the system and sending it to the kitchen staff and ensuring that all special requests or dietary restrictions are followed accurately.
  • Serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Checking back with guests and giving eye contact to ensure satisfaction with their meals and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
  • Clearing tables and resetting them for the next service.
  • Handling guest payments, processing transactions accurately, and returning change promptly.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area and adhering to all food safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assisting with opening and closing shifts, including setup, cleaning, and restocking.

Qualifications

  • ND, HND or B.Sc qualification is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items and familiarity with menu items.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy trays if required.
