Job Description
- As the Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day administrative tasks that are essential to our school's functioning.
- You will work closely with the school leadership, teachers, parents, and students to provide exceptional administrative support and contribute to a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Office Management: Oversee the daily operations of the school office, including managing phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized student records, staff files, and school documentation.
- Admissions Support: Assist with the student admissions process, including processing applications, scheduling interviews, and maintaining records.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and external stakeholders, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Scheduling: Coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments, ensuring efficient use of school resources and facilities.
- Supplies Management: Monitor and manage inventory of office supplies, educational materials, and school equipment.
- Financial Administration: Assist with basic financial tasks such as processing invoices, managing petty cash, and coordinating with the finance department.
- Support Staff and Teachers: Provide administrative support to teachers and school staff, assisting with documentation, scheduling, and other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Ability to handle challenges with a positive attitude and provide effective solutions.
- A strong commitment to professionalism and a positive attitude.
