Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • As our Head of Operations, you will be the architect of operational excellence.
  • You will lead a high-performing team, overseeing all aspects of our operations, including production, quality control, inventory management, logistics, and security.
  • You will be responsible for optimizing processes, identifying and implementing efficiency gains, and ensuring strict adherence to PCI DSS compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all operational activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Process Optimization:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Implement best practices and industry standards in all operational activities.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear direction and support to team members, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management policies and procedures to mitigate operational risks.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain operational systems and tools.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Address and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.

Financial Management:

  • Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.

Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the FinTech, financial services, or payment card personalization sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing operations in a high-growth environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
