Job Title: Asset Custodian

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asset Custodian to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the safekeeping, management, and maintenance of company assets, including physical and digital assets.
  • The Asset Custodian will ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

 Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Capital Expenditure Requisition (CER) to cover every fixed asset acquisition andtimely presentation of same for authorization and approval.
  • Constant follow up to ensure timely payment for all approved CER and monitor the receipt of theasset in right quality and quantity as per the CER.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date records for all fixed assets owned by the company on theappropriate PC file.
  • Ensure accurate identification of all fixed assets on records using their unique numbering system.
  • Preparation of Disposal Records (DR) and process same for appropriate authorization to disposefixed assets that are no longer required for use in the company.
  • Conduct physical verification of fixed assets in respective locations and submit exception reportsto advice management of outcomes.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement asset tracking systems to monitor movement and usage.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of assets, including secure storage and access controls.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit regular asset reports to management.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of assets to ensure optimal condition.
  • Schedule and track asset inspections and calibration.
  • Work with departments to understand asset needs and requirements.
  • Provide asset information and support to employees as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your manager.
