Job Title: Bellhop / Porter

Job Summary

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable *Bellhop/Porter* to join our team.
  • You will be responsible for providing excellent guest service by assisting with luggage, offering helpful information, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from arrival to departure.
  • As a vital part of the hospitality team, your role will enhance guests’ overall stay, providing a first and lasting impression of our hotel and apartment complex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Assistance: Greet guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage, packages, and other belongings.
  • Room Escorts: Escort guests to their rooms or apartments, explaining amenities, services, and ensuring they are comfortable with their accommodations.
  • Valet and Transportation Services: Assist with parking and retrieving guest vehicles if valet services are available. Arrange transportation for guests, including taxis, rideshares, or shuttle services.
  • Concierge Support: Provide information on hotel/apartment facilities, local attractions, dining options, and directions. Assist with arranging reservations or tickets for events.
  • Handling Deliveries: Accept and deliver packages, groceries, or other deliveries to guest rooms or apartments.
  • Lobby and Entry Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the hotel/apartment lobby, entryways, and surrounding areas. Keep these areas tidy and welcoming.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor the security of the premises by being aware of guests and their movements, reporting any suspicious activities to management.
  • Customer Service: Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction. Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs efficiently.
  • Special Requests: Handle any special requests or needs that guests may have, including assistance for disabled guests or handling large group check-ins and check-outs.

Qualifications

  • OND
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or residential complex is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy luggage and packages.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skils:

  • Customer service-oriented and eager to make guests feel welcome.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of local area attractions and amenities (additional languages are a plus).
