We are recruiting for the vacant position of:

Job Title: Brand and Communications Manager

Reporting Line: Head, Marketing

Responsibilities
  • The Brand and Communications Manager will oversee the articulation and implementation of effective strategies targeted at MainOne’s customer segments and requirements, which maximize market penetration, customer growth, and profitability.
  • He/She will also oversee the Marketing function and guide its personnel and activities to meet overall corporate goals and objectives
Specifically, Other Responsibilities
  • Provide broad guidelines for the translation of the departmental strategies into specific operational plans and programs
  • Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and interface for lead tracking and management
  • Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, , seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management and content
  • Incorporate customer service tactics to ensure that the Company and its employees exemplify optimal service to customers at all times
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers and increasing MainOne’s share of the customer wallet
  • Research, analyze, and develop detailed marketing strategy including determine market potential, trends, and opportunities
  • Keep abreast of local and global best practices and make recommendations on how this impacts the department’s role as well as the Organization
  • Develop ROI measurements to justify advertising and marketing spend. Ensure that all applicable KPIs are measured effectively and financial controls adhered to
  • Champion the definition of the department’s processes, policies and procedures as well as standardized sales pitches and documentation. Continually review and assess their effectiveness and efficiency and identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Marketing
  • The responsibilities defined above span across the business in Nigeria, Ghana and International markets.
Supervision
  • To work directly under the supervision of the Head, Marketing
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Post graduate/relevant professional qualification will be an advantage
  • Ten (10) to Twelve (12) years’ work experience in business strategy and marketing & research with at least six (5) years in managerial role
  • Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ work experience in business strategy, marketing & research.
  • Very good knowledge of media technologies (computer, communications, graphics, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both commercial and technical terms
  • Ability to conduct research studies, analyse data, and articulate specific strategies
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Time & self-management skills
