We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Location: Sangotedo, Ajah - Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

Key Responsibilities
Brand Management and Awareness:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to promote the lounge's brand, services, and events.
  • Increase brand visibility by ensuring consistent messaging across all communication platforms.
  • Monitor the lounge’s public perception and take action to enhance its reputation.

Media Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and influencers to secure press coverage.
  • Prepare press releases, media kits, and promotional materials to share with media contacts.
  • Organize media events, including press conferences, interviews, and VIP events, to generate positive coverage.

Event Promotion and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the lounge’s marketing team to promote special events, parties, and exclusive offers.
  • Design and execute PR campaigns for events, targeting local press, online platforms, and social media influencers.
  • Ensure high visibility for the lounge’s events through social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and community engagement.

Crisis Management:

  • Manage any negative press or issues that may arise, including customer complaints or incidents, to protect the lounge’s reputation.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and provide timely, appropriate responses to minimize damage to the brand.

Social Media and Online Presence:

  • Oversee and manage the lounge’s social media accounts, ensuring regular posting of engaging content.
  • Engage with customers and followers on social media platforms, responding to inquiries, reviews, and feedback.
  • Analyze and report on social media engagement, making recommendations for improvements.

Customer Relations and Guest Experience:

  • Foster positive relationships with customers, influencers, and VIP guests to encourage brand loyalty.
  • Engage with guests during lounge events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and soliciting feedback.
  • Monitor and address online reviews (Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.) to improve the lounge’s public image.

Collaboration with Marketing Team:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align PR activities with promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and branding efforts.
  • Develop promotional content, such as blogs, newsletters, and website updates, to boost the lounge’s online presence.
  • Ensure the PR strategy complements the lounge's overall marketing and sales goals.

Community Engagement:

  • Represent the lounge in community events, charity partnerships, and sponsorships to increase brand recognition.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, tourism agencies, and hospitality associations to drive collaboration and promotions.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Track and analyze the success of PR campaigns, providing detailed reports on media coverage, social media engagement, and customer feedback.
  • Use data to refine future PR strategies and improve outreach efforts.

Content Creation and Copywriting:

  • Develop creative content for press releases, blog posts, social media, and email campaigns that align with the lounge’s voice and brand.
  • Ensure that all written communication reflects the lounge’s high-end or trendy image.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, preferably in the hospitality, nightlife, or entertainment industry.
  • Strong relationships with media contacts and influencers in the lifestyle and hospitality sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital PR tools.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with VIPs and customers.
