Job Title: Commercial, Contract & Project (CCP) Support Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The CCP Support Officer is a multi-faceted role encompassing the review & maintenance of contract/service level agreements and contributing to project management activities.
  • Additionally, the candidate must have a good knowledge of Commercial, Procurement Planning & Contract Negotiations with a plan to support operations.
  • The role will leverage commercial/contract/project experiences to handle budget preparation and monitoring, source, secure and maintain relationships along the O&G supply chain, support contract & bid processes, organise & plan workflows, manage policies and procedures, manage systems and equipment purchases, and support special projects.

Principal Duties  / Responsibilities  / Authorities
Sales Management:

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with vendors, supply chain partners, direct reports, senior management, other support groups and project team members.
  • Review of all purchase orders
  • Review accuracy and adequacy of purchasing negotiation and supply chain administration. activities.
  • Fulfilment of various supply chain requirements relating to project performance
    Timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of problem identification, status reporting and corrective actions.
  • Negotiation of T&C, Prices and Vendor Management.

Contract Management:

  • Initiate SLAs and contract awards, reviews and follow up with the Legal team till execution.
  • Prepare Administration department-related contract change notices, and monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.
  • Maintain audit files for each contract to include the original contracts, all correspondences, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, and payment schedules.
  • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding all contract status, and facilitate contractor meetings.
  • Assist in preparing requests for quotes, requests for proposals, etc. documents
  • Ensure that the contractor/vendor complies with legal and contract requirements, owner specifications and government regulations.
  • Set up and maintain the administrative arrangements for effective and efficient contract management, including stakeholder communication, governance, performance monitoring arrangements, payments and file/records management.

Project Management:

  • Assist project managers with the development and management of detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, costs and resources.
  • Track project progress consistently and address present reports to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project management methodologies.

Other Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Research, obtain and analyse gathered information to resolve issues in functional areas.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Team Lead or CEO.

Qualification  / Experience  / Competency  / Skills Requirements  / Person Specification

  • Minimum of First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or any Social Science or other related courses.
  • At least one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar role and experience within the oil & gas industry will be an added advantage.
  • An understanding of budget preparation, analysis & monitoring, research & analysis, and the aptitude to make recommendations on administrative, management and procedural practices.
  • Good knowledge of procurement practices, from procurement planning to contract closeout.
  • Ability to understand legal and financial concepts behind support contracts.
  • Good research, communication, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Good stakeholder and people management skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Good problem-analysis and solving skills.
  • Good use of initiative, a good sense of ethics, professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Must be decisive and firm and possess an understanding of discretion.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good proficiency in using Office & Google Workspace productivity tools.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
