Overview

  • The Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and achievement of financial goals.
  • This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:

  • Support the General Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Monitor service quality, food preparation, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Staff Management:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure optimal coverage during shifts.

Guest Experience:

  • Promote a culture of exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage VIP and special event requirements effectively.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in achieving financial goals, including revenue growth and cost control.
  • Monitor inventory, reduce waste, and manage procurement processes.
  • Analyze financial reports and provide recommendations for improvement.

Marketing and Sales:

  • Support the development and implementation of promotional strategies to attract guests.
  • Drive upselling initiatives and ensure staff promote specials and menu items effectively.

Facility and Maintenance Oversight:

  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance needs in collaboration with relevant teams.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting operational and financial reports.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) with 5-7 years experience.
  • Proven experience in restaurant management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
