Job Summary
- We are seeking an innovative and experienced Head of Creative Unit to oversee the development and implementation of our media broadcast station's branding, look and feel, graphics, promos, and immersive experiences.
- The successful candidate will lead a team of creatives, ensuring alignment with our brand's vision and values, and driving our station's visual identity and storytelling.
Key Responsibilites
Branding and Visual Identity:
- Develop and maintain the station's brand identity, including logos, typography, and color palettes.
- Ensure consistent branding across all platforms, including on-air, digital, and social media.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Graphics and Motion Design:
- Oversee the creation of motion graphics, animations, and 3D models for on-air and digital content.
- Develop and implement graphics templates for news, sports, and entertainment programs.
- Ensure graphics are optimized for various platforms, including broadcast, web, and social media.
Non-Linear Editing (NLE) and Post-Production:
- Supervise the post-production team, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of edited content.
- Develop and implement NLE workflows, including editing, color grading, and sound design.
- Collaborate with producers and directors to ensure edited content meets their creative vision.
Promos and Trailers:
- Develop and produce promos and trailers for upcoming programs and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Ensure promos and trailers are optimized for various platforms, including broadcast, web, and social media.
Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR):
- Develop and implement immersive experiences, including AR, VR, and XR, for on- air and digital content.
- Collaborate with the innovation team to stay up- to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
- Ensure immersive experiences are optimized for various platforms, including broadcast, web, and social media.
Leadership and Ream Management:
- Lead and manage a team of creatives, including designers, editors, and motion graphics artists.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and equality.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
- Manage the creative unit's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Plan and prioritize projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
Key Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Media, Communications, or related field.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in media broadcast.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful branding and visual identity strategies.
- Experience in team management, talent development, and budgeting.
Skills:

Nice to Have Certifications:
- Certified Creative Director (CCD) or Certified Media Executive (CME).
- Experience with content management systems, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
