Job Title: General Manager

Location: Kado, Abuja

Job Summary

  • The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, ensuring efficient processes, profitability, and exceptional customer service.
  • The GM develops and implements strategic plans, manages budgets, leads teams, and ensures compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational goals with overall business strategy
  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to clients while minimizing costs and inefficiencies.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and reduce expenses.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate staff across multiple departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them
  • Oversee the maintenance and management of logistics assets, including vehicles and equipment.

Key Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 - 5 years in a leadership role.

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
