We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and hotel objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Manage employee onboarding, training, and development programs to enhance staff skills and retention.
  • Coordinate and monitor employee performance management systems to promote a culture of high performance.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and address grievances in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as hotel policies.
  • Work with department heads to create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics and present them to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for department managers in HR related matters.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability in conflict resolution and employee relations.
  • Experience with performance management and employee development.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing HR metrics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent management in a high-service environment.
  • Familiarity with training and development initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
