Job Title: Archivist

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Archivist to join our team. 
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for preserving, organizing, and managing both physical and digital records, ensuring long-term accessibility and integrity of valuable information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, catalog, and maintain archives, ensuring proper storage and preservation of documents and digital assets.
  • Digitize physical records and manage electronic archives using archival management systems.
  • Develop and maintain classification systems, metadata standards, and indexing for easy retrieval.
  • Regulate access to records and ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Develop and implement archival policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
  • Support internal teams by locating and providing requested records and historical data.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and apply conservation techniques to protect aging or damaged materials.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements related to recordkeeping.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2 – 4 years
  • Experience working in archives, libraries, or information management roles.
  • Experience in Judiciary Documentation is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with GIS data archiving is a plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in digital archiving tools and software.
  • Good communication and research skills.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
