Job Title: Civil Engineer - Road Construction
Location: Akwa Ibom
Responsibilties
- Designing roadway layouts and plans using CAD and other design software
- Conducting site inspections and surveys to gather data for project planning
- Creating detailed cost estimates and project timelines
- Collaborating with urban planners, environmental scientists, and other engineers
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Overseeing the construction and maintenance of roadways
- Preparing technical reports and documentation
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during construction
- Analysing traffic patterns to inform roadway design
- Reviewing design plans from subcontractors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Eng Degree with 3 - 5 years of experience in roadway design and construction
- Experience with GIS and other mapping tools
- Familiar with environmental impact assessments
- Proficiency in advanced roadway design software
- Experience with project management software
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Proficiency in CAD software and other related design tools
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
