Job Title: Civil Engineer - Road Construction

Location: Akwa Ibom

Responsibilties

• Designing roadway layouts and plans using CAD and other design software
• Conducting site inspections and surveys to gather data for project planning
• Creating detailed cost estimates and project timelines
• Collaborating with urban planners, environmental scientists, and other engineers
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Overseeing the construction and maintenance of roadways
• Preparing technical reports and documentation
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during construction
• Analysing traffic patterns to inform roadway design
• Reviewing design plans from subcontractors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Interested candidates should possess a B.Eng Degree with 3 - 5 years of experience in roadway design and construction
• Experience with GIS and other mapping tools
• Familiar with environmental impact assessments
• Proficiency in advanced roadway design software
• Experience with project management software
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
• Proficiency in CAD software and other related design tools
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
