About the Role
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our expanding fintech team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic merchant acquisition, managing key accounts, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- You’ll play a pivotal role in growing our payment network by onboarding high-value merchants across various sectors and ensuring their continued satisfaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard new merchants across multiple industries and locations.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients to drive retention and revenue growth.
- Lead negotiations and close commercial deals with merchants and strategic partners.
- Work closely with internal teams (Product, Compliance, and Operations) to streamline the onboarding process.
- Monitor account performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to increase usage and engagement.
- Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and trends.
- Prepare regular reports on pipeline activity, merchant feedback, and market insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management—preferably in fintech, digital payments, or financial services.
- Demonstrated success in merchant acquisition and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different regions.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s fintech and payments landscape.
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience onboarding merchants in sectors such as retail, transportation, health, or hospitality.
- Comfort with a data-driven sales approach and performance tracking.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary
N300,000 - N600,000 / month.
