Job Title: Pastry Chef

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef with 2 to 4 years of professional experience to join our culinary team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for baking and dessert preparation, a solid foundation in pastry techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads, etc.
  • Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control of all pastry items.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Stay current on trends in pastry and baking techniques.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a professional pastry or bakery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and artistic presentation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with custom cakes or plated desserts.
