We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Floor Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house team (hosts/hostesses, servers, bussers, baristas, bartenders as applicable) to deliver stellar guest experiences.
  • Manage guest flow: reservations, seating strategies, waitlist management, and table turnover to optimize service speed and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor service standards and quality control; ensure consistency in greeting, menu knowledge, upsell opportunities, and delivery of orders.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; conduct pre-shift briefings, assign stations, and manage coverage during peak times.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally; escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Enforce safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and management to coordinate service flow, specials, and changes to menus or events.
  • Monitor inventory and supply needs for service areas; place orders in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling, room charges, and POS operations; oversee open tabs, split checks, refunds, and end-of-shift cash-out.
  • Prepare and review daily reports (sales, guest feedback, occupancy, and labor) and communicate relevant insights to the management team.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in service, respecting diverse guest needs and dietary restrictions.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
  • 2+ years of hospitality experience in a management or supervisory role (e.g., floor supervisor, dining room captain, service manager).
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality guest service and managing high-volume service periods.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills; ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic computer skills (email, scheduling tools).
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and health regulations; ability to conduct safety briefings and maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Positive attitude, composure under pressure, and a guest-first mindset.
