Job Title: Senior Human Resources Officer

Location: Ekiti

Job Description

  • The Senior HR Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HRIS management, and compliance.
  • The role ensures HR policies are effectively implemented and contributes to building a positive work culture that aligns with the company’s goals.

Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Management:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
  • Prepare job adverts, shortlist candidates, and coordinate interviews.
  • Support talent pipeline development and succession planning.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries.
  • Handle employee complaints, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures.
  • Support initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Conduct periodic employee engagement surveys and follow up on action plans.

Performance Management:

  • Coordinate and support performance appraisal processes.
  • Work with managers to set targets, evaluate outcomes, and drive improvements.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend development plans.

HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate HR records, HRIS data, payroll inputs, and documentation.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and practices comply with labor laws.
  • Track leave, attendance, disciplinary records, and contract renewals.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics for management decision-making.

Learning & Development:

  • Identify training needs in line with performance outcomes.
  • Plan and coordinate internal/external training sessions.
  • Track training participation and effectiveness.

Policy Development:

  • Contribute to the review and update of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 4 – 7 years progressive HR experience.
  • Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS).

Salary
Negotiable (Based on experience).
