Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The Marketing Manager will lead the full marketing function of Golden Mart, overseeing strategy, execution, and performance across all digital and offline channels.
  • This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and hands-on management of campaigns, brand positioning, influencer partnerships, agency communication, and retention activities.
  • The manager will drive customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth, ensuring Golden Mart remains the leading premium online grocery platform in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop the annual and quarterly marketing strategy aligned with Golden Mart’s growth objectives.
  • Build data-driven plans for acquisition, retention, and branding.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute monthly and seasonal campaigns (Ramadan, Black Friday, Back to School, etc.).
  • Create campaign briefs with clear objectives, messages, and creatives.
  • Ensure campaigns perform across Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, WhatsApp, and influencer channels.

Brand Development & Creative Direction:

  • Maintain and evolve Golden Mart’s brand identity and tone across all platforms.
  • Lead creative brainstorming and develop new ideas for content, UGC concepts, social media posts, and performance ads.
  • Supervise graphic designers, content creators, and editors.

Influencer & Partner Management:

  • Identify and negotiate with influencers, creators, agencies, and advertising companies.
  • Create detailed briefs, scripts, and creative directions for influencers.
  • Track influencer content delivery, performance, and ROI.
  • Build long-term partnerships with community pages, bloggers, and key opinion leaders.

Digital Marketing & Performance:

  • Manage paid advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google, and TikTok.
  • Monitor KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, CTR, conversion rates, retention, LTV, and acquisition funnels.
  • Optimize budgets and allocate spend based on performance and strategic priorities.

Social Media Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day posting, community engagement, and content calendar.
  • Create plans for reels, stories, product highlights, and educational content.
  • Ensure content matches audience behavior in Abuja, Lagos, and Nigeria in general.

Customer Retention & CRM:

  • Manage customer segmentation and email/SMS/WhatsApp automation.
  • Build loyalty programs, referral programs, and personalized offers.
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure customer feedback loops are closed.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Produce weekly and monthly marketing reports to CEO covering spend, performance, growth, and recommendations.
  • Use data dashboards to measure outcomes and adjust strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting and campaign alignment.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and product teams to highlight high-margin, new, and fast-moving products.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Monthly sales growth % (Revenue Targets)
  • New customer acquisition rate
  • CAC (Cost per Acquisition)
  • ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
  • Customer retention rate
  • WhatsApp conversion rate
  • Influencer ROI and cost efficiency
  • Social media engagement & reach
  • Campaign execution accuracy & timeliness.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience:

  • 4 - 7 years experience in Marketing (E-commerce is a strong advantage).
  • Proven experience managing influencers and external agencies.
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s digital landscape, consumer behavior, and social media trends.

Skills:

  • Creative thinker with strong campaign ideation skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, SEO basics, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure.
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision making.
